Daryll Thomson from Glasgow has been contacted by owners needing advice and believes the ban won't work.
A Scots dog trainer says he has been inundated by calls from desperate XL Bully owners since Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced the breed will be banned in the UK.
Daryll Thomson, 30, who runs Cruz K-9 Dog Training in Glasgow, doesn't believe the ban will work. He told The Sun: "If it's not the XL Bully , they'll find another dog to target in the news every week. The XL Bully originates in the US and is thought to have come to the UK in 2014. It grew in popularity during the Covid pandemic, with influencers posting about the breed.
