A devastated Scots dog owner has claimed her pet died after ingesting poison at a Scots park during a walk.
Mia first suffered symptoms during a walk in the park on August 31, coughing and bringing up bile. The next morning, she was extremely lethargic. The sickly pooch was taken to the vet on September 1, but it as it was not suspected she had inhaled something toxic, she was seen and sent home. The account manager told the Record: "I can't speak about what happened to Mia without crying, I'm so devastated I've only now been able to talk about it. She died in the early hours of the 2nd of September after becoming ill walking in Greenhills Park. I've now been told the the council had spread treatment on the grass but there were no warnings posted, no signs or anything.
She is urging other walkers to beware. "She went out for a walk and then she died, it is not right. It wasn't her time to go.
