because they were both dating the same woman, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
James Harvey Todd, 27, is charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Cecil McDaniel, 40, on Nov. 23, according to court records. Investigators believe Todd confronted McDaniel at an apartment complex and fatally shot him after learning they were romantically involved with the same woman, said deputy Thomas Gilliland, spokesman for the sheriff’s office.
Residents called 911 around 7 p.m. Nov. 23 to report having heard gunfire at their 150 Dominion Park Drive apartment complex, near Interstate 45. In the breezeway of the complex, deputies found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.
