Wonder Woman just topped Captain America’s iconic MCU elevator fight scene. Writer Tom King and artist Daniel Sampere have ushered in a new era for Wonder Woman, one that turns her into an outlaw and puts her on the run. Now, in a preview for Wonder Woman #3, she is confronted by a small army as she exits an elevator and thanks to her fighting prowess, she one-ups an iconic Captain America scene.
DC shared a preview of Wonder Woman #3 with AIPT. Written by King and drawn by Sampere, the preview opens with a group of soldiers waiting for Wonder Woman to exit an elevator. Aware that she is about to be ambushed, she takes off her tiara and throws it like a boomerang as the door opens. It flies around, taking out soldiers. They continue to fire on Wonder Woman, but mostly miss her. The few bullets that do connect she deflects with her bracelet.
Wonder Woman is In For a Lot More Fights in the Future Close For years, Wonder Woman has been a symbol of hope and freedom, but that has come crashing down in recent months. The United States has begun extraditing Amazons forcibly from the country, and have assigned Sarge Steel to head up the task force. Wonder Woman has refused to back down, making her an outlaw and perceived as a traitor.
Wonder Woman Just Defeated Captain America...Sort Of Wonder Woman’s fight scene in this issue easily tops Captain America’s iconic elevator fight. In the 2014 film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, several HYDRA agents board an elevator with Cap. Cap immediately senses something is wrong, and his instincts pay off when he is attacked from behind.
