A man has been charged with causing her death
Leeds man Jason Ward, 51, has been charged with causing her death by dangerous driving following the incident on December 10. He is also charged with causing death while uninsured, failing to stop at the scene of a road accident and failing to report a road accident.
Vanessa was named by Leeds Magistrates' Court, where Mr Ward, of Throstle Road, appeared earlier this week. He will make his first appearance at Leeds Crown Court on January 10.A woman who was arrested on Monday has been released on bail.
"Officers from the Major Collision Enquiry Team are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to come forward who have either witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of the van involved along the ring road and up Elland Road in the direction of the police station. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage of any part of this incident.
