The Year of the Rabbit begins on Sunday, the first day of the Lunar New Year. Here’s were you can celebrate in San Antonio:Inspired by traditional Japanese floating lanterns, this event will allow attendees to make a hopeful wish for the year to come as lanterns move through the ponds at the garden.Asian New Year Festival:

To celebrate the Lunar New Year, the mall will be filled with music, dancers, art and cuisine. Performances will include ceremonial dances and and martial arts demonstrations.Facebook:@Rolling Oaks Mall.Vendors line the street outside the bodega to sell celebratory items, and there also will be live music.Lunar New Year celebration:

The temple’s great drum and bell will open this celebration, followed by a chant led in English and Vietnamese, a dragon dance and firecrackers. A vegetarian meal will be provided for guests after the ceremony.
