From Joe Biden’s 6,850-square-foot mansion overlooking a pond in Wilmington, Delaware, to Mayor Peter Buttigieg’sin South Bend, Indiana, the homes of the Democratic nominees can tell us a lot about them. With a record 24 candidates headed into this week’s debates, every extra bit of information to help understand and differentiate these individuals is worth noting.

To understand more about where the candidates call home, I evaluated and ranked the residences of ten top Democratic candidates, based on current aggregate polling figures. Ownership was confirmed using property records filed with local city or county assessors' offices. Home price estimates are from Zillow and homes are ranked by their estimated value.
