Daryl Dixon's Spinoff Takes Place 12 Years Into The Apocalypse When Daryl is being tended to by Clémence Poésy's character, Isabelle, in Daryl Dixon episode 1, the "killer nun" explains, "We're a small community of nuns. Very small now, after 12 years." The line is deliberately placed to clue the audience in to how long has passed in Daryl Dixon since The Walking Dead ended.
