People are being warned in areas of East Dunbartonshire and North Lanarkshire after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning, as experts warn of heavy rain and possible disruptions.
A new weather warning for heavy rain and possible disruption is in place for the Strathclyde region, as experts warn residents of what to expect.
Weather warnings are being issued across Central and Eastern Scotland, with heavy rain and possible flooding to be expected in towns covering East Dunbartonshire and Lanarkshire. The yellow alert is in place from 12am October 29 until 11.59pm on October 30 - the Met Office have issued a warning to residents as they share what to expect over the coming days.READ MORE: New £2.9m Glasgow grey bins to be fitted with tracking devices to monitor collections
What to expect: A statement from the Met Office read: "After recent very wet weather, further heavy rain is expected to affect Central and Eastern Scotland. Many parts of the warning area will see 20-40 mm of rain, whilst the wettest spots, most likely from Stirling and Fife northwards into Angus and Aberdeenshire, could see 50-80 mm, and isolated 100-120 mm on the mountains."In addition, on Sunday , strong winds with gusts 50-60 mph are also probable along exposed parts of the coast.
