This week is loaded with tasty events, including the best excuse to dress up like a Viking and drink beer.
Chef and restaurateur of TAG Restaurant Group Troy Guard welcomes the D.C.-based James Beard semi-finalist chefs who make up the Fried Rice Collective, Danny Lee and Scott Drewno, to Guard and Grace for a Feast From the East. In celebration of Asian cuisine and the Lunar New Year, the chefs will put together a family-style feast with their own personal spins on traditional dishes. This dinner is also a fundraiser benefiting Roundup River Ranch. Cocktail hour begins at 5:30 p.m.
The brewery will tap some returning favorites and some new beers, too, including the Rocker Spirits collaboration Port Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, Velvet Imperial Stout and Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine. No tickets are needed for this event.The Fort in Morrison is celebrating its sixtieth anniversary with a Shinin' Times party from 5 to 10 p.m. TheJoin Ultreia at Union Station for Gin-txos , a monthly distiller-guided gin class with pintxo pairings at 6:30 p.m.
