Two people stabbed in downtown San Diego; suspect arrested [Breaking]
A suspect was arrested early Monday in connection with the stabbing of a hotel security guard and a 70-year-old pedestrian in two separate incidents, police said.The first victim was a security guard at the Westin Hotel on West Broadway near Columbia. He was stabbed in the chest and face during a confrontation in the loading dock area of the hotel, said police Sgt. Eduardo Lopez. After the stabbing, the assailant took off running.
A suspect was detained just before 5:45 a.m. and was arrested after being identified in a curbside lineup, Lopez said. Police are looking for surveillance video from nearby businesses, he said.
