The Light Blues star has returned to full training as he bids to get back to his top levels after an extended period out on the sidelines. The midfielder was signed last summer by Giovanni van Bronckhorst and after a flying start to life at Ibrox he suffered an injury early into the campaign that has kept him out long-term.
The former Derby County skipper was an unused sub as Michael Beale named eight changes for the Viaplay Cup last 16 win over Scottish Championship side Greenock Morton. Cyriel Dessers scored from the penalty spot in the second half before Danilo climbed off the bench to complete the comeback win after Grant Gillespie had fired past Jack Butland for the opener from 12-yards.

His return will almost act as a new signing for Beale, who is yet to have had the chance to call on his services in a competitive fixture.
He told Rangers TV: "It's all good. I had a little hiccup with a challenge in training but I am back in now."It's been a long time out and I know it is going to take a bit of time to get back up to speed."
