Tijuana man, 27, identified as hiker who died at El Capitan Trail [Breaking]
was identified as Tijuana resident Sergio de Jesus Santiago Sufy, authorities said.
Two of the hikers went back to their car to get more water as Sufy and a second person stayed behind.While waiting, Sufy became unresponsive and his friend called 911 around 6:30 p.m., according to fire officials and the Medical Examiner’s Office. Firefighters responding to the call found Sufy about 1 1/2 miles up the trail off Blue Sky Ranch Road. Dispatchers had instructed Sufy’s friends how to perform CPR, and when firefighters arrived they continued trying to revive him. After about 40 minutes of CPR, Sufy was pronounced dead, officials said.El Capitan County Preserve
