The vehicle was targeted during a midnight attack in the car park of properties in Hamilton, Lanarkshire.
Residents were left terrified after thugs torched a car in a deliberate attack outside a block of flats.
A firebug tried to torch former Scotland captain Kenny Miller's £70,000 in a late-night attack last year. A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "We were alerted at 12.04am on Tuesdsay, 17 January to reports of a vehicle fire in Hamilton. The attempted arson attack was the latest in a string of incidents involving fire starters in Lanarkshire.
