Katherine Yates from Andrew Grove & Co Solicitors in Cambridgeshire is acting on behalf of a group of former pupils that are suing Lincolnshire County Council.

The solicitor working on the case of over 50 abuse survivors from Stubton Hall near Grantham believes they could still be battling defendants Lincolnshire County Council in two years’ time. Fifty-one former pupils came forward to solicitors Andrew Grove & Co with complaints about the school, which was owned and managed by the county council until it closed permanently in 2003. The current owners are in no way connected to this litigation.A man in his 60s has sadly died after being hit by a train between Spalding and Peterborough on Tuesday evening.

British Transport Police officers were called to the line near Spalding railway station at around 7.50pm on February 20 after reports of a casualty on the tracks.In what is likely to be the final major economic statement before the General Election, Lincolnshire “urgently” needs support in its hospitality and tourism sectors to boost growth, as well as government support to prevent future flooding catastrophes.

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt will present his Spring Budget on March 6, as the government looks to bounce back after the UK fell into recession during the final months of 2023.
