New images have surfaced for Netflix's upcoming dark comedy, BEEF, which stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong.
The first images from BEEF reveal Netflix's dark revenge comedy, which stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. Both actors collaborated in the animated series Tuca & Bertie, in which Yeun voiced Speckle, the supportive boyfriend of Bertie . Yeun and Wong will reunite again in Netflix's ten-episode series, which is set to debut on April 16.
The dark comedy from A24 Studios tells the story of two strangers whose lives converge during a road rage incident. As the photos from Netflix preview, Danny Cho and Amy Lau are two very different people that are fundamentally changed by a feud that consumes them and alters their relationships in more ways than one. BEEF naturally expands on the incident. Yeun's character, Danny, is an unsuccessful contractor with something to prove. Wong's character, Amy, is described as a "self-made entrepreneur with a picturesque life." Also serving as executive producers on BEEF, Wong and Yeun are joined in the cast by Joseph Lee, Young Mazino, Maria Bello, Ashley Park, Justin H. Min, Mia Serafino, and Remy Holt.
While there has yet to be a trailer or series of clips for BEEF, it has a premise that invites some interesting twists and turns. In his impressive filmography, The Walking Dead's Yeun has already shown he can go sinister with movies like Mayhem and Nope. Mixing it up with Wong, with such a conceit, could result in one of the year's best shows.
