St. Thomas dean resigns as Houston faculty calls him a ‘charlatan’ for allegedly lying about education
Jon Shapley, Houston Chronicle / Staff photographerbusiness school dean — a former Swiss Guard who knew Pope John Paul II and Mother Teresa — has resigned amid allegations that he falsified his education credentials.
“The University of St. Thomas accepted Mario Enzler's resignation on Friday afternoon,” spokeswoman Sandra Soliz said in a statement. “He is moving on to the next chapter of his life.”University of St. Thomas, Cisco partner to assist teens who age out of foster care In their letter to the University of St. Thomas Board of Directors, the concerned faculty members said that Enzler should have never been hired as dean. A search committee at St. Thomas received last-minute instructions to consider Enzler for the position.
