Fire crews were called to the scene earlier this morning.
Emergency services were called to West Princes Street in the Woodlands area around 8am on Monday after the blaze took hold.
Neighbours reported seeing smoke billowing from the student flats on the site of the former Robin Anderson Theatre while residents were evacuated onto the street.Read more: Glasgow support worker forged cheques to steal money from service users A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 8.07am on Monday, 19 June to reports of a building fire in Glasgow.
