Summer's almost here... and so is the car park 👀🚗
Residents of Blackpool will have noticed metal structure of the brand new car park at Blackpool Central begin to take shape.
Blackpool Council, which will operate the new car park being built as part of the £32m first phase of the £300m Blackpool Central leisure development, wants the facility to be up and running in time for summer visitors later this year. Central Car Park will stay open during construction of the multi-storey, but with 250 parking spaces taken away from its current 900 total.
Once complete, the former Central Carpark will close to allow the next phases of the leisure development which include three indoor theme attractions including a hi-tech flying theatre, a 200-room hotel plus bars, restaurants and outdoor entertainment space.
