The loud alarm has been installed by woman who lives in property at Edinburgh's Dalry Cemetery in harassment row.
Mourners visiting a historic cemetery face being blasted with a noisy air raid siren when they walk onto the site.
The siren was blaring when a Sunday Mail reporter walked near it on the public footpath during a visit last week. Retired engineer Ian Hunter, whose mother Margaret McBride Hunter was laid to rest in the cemetery in 2021, said he was horrified to learn about the siren. “People should not have to walk into a cemetery and have a siren howling at them. Its only purpose seems to be to annoy people.”
Berry obtained the interim interdict against Assarsson on August 9 and it was continued last Thursday at a hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
