Scots police officers sexually assaulted, verbally abused and attacked in three incidents
Police officers were were sexually assaulted, punched and kicked and verbally abused, leaving three in hospital, after three separate incidents in Scotland in 24 hours.
All three officers sustained injuries after a disturbance, and were rushed to hospital. A 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident. Chief Superintendent Stevie Dolan, Divisional Commander for Lanarkshire, said attacks on police would not be tolerated. He said: “On Thursday, January 12, into Friday, January 13, 2023, six officers attending three separate incidents in Lanarkshire were subject to physical and verbal assaults.
