Representation is key when it comes to the television shows, movies, and cultural forces that have the power to shape and influence current and future generations to come — but so is the choice to have Black and brown storytellers in the writers’ rooms, director chairs, and production reigns that compose and dictate the stories that eventually make way to our screens.
