As he gets set to become his country's most-capped representative, Leeds Rhinos star Rhyse Martin has reflected on not just his journey as an international rugby league player but Papua New Guinea's.
When he made his debut against Tonga in 2014, Martin was the only overseas player in the PNG camp. Now, the Kumuls boast some of the world's best talents, even if they are without Melbourne Storm duo Justin Olam and Xaiver Coates, who are nursing injuries and are unavailable. For the 30-year-old, he is over the moon to see how far his nation has come in just under a decade.
