Paul Merson would be "shocked" if Nottingham Forest were to find themselves in a relegation battle this season.
Forest currently sit ninth in the Premier League table after four games of the season, and resume their campaign when they host Burnley at the City Ground on Monday evening. It is a chance for Forest to get their third win of the season against the newly-promoted Clarets. Giving his predictions to Sportskeeda ahead of the match, Merson gave his thoughts on what he has seen from Forest this season, including in the summer transfer window. He said: "These are the games you highlight if you're Burnley - they need to get something out of this. That said, Nottingham Forest look good and have bought really well in the transfer market, so I'll be shocked if they get dragged into a relegation dogfight this season.
