Chelsea reportedly accepted a re-submitted bid from Nottingham Forest for Trevoh Chalobah on transfer deadline day.
Forest tried to beat competition from Bayern Munich and Tottenham by launching a £25million bid. Although Chelsea had accepted the offer, Chalobah favoured a loan move to Bayern instead but it fell through. Blues preferred a permanent exit for a "significant fee" rather than a loan deal, which was what the German giants were hoping to complete. Despite signing a new contract last November, it appears Chalobah has no place in the squad as his game time has been restricted.
According to the Daily Telegraph's Matt Law, Forest's bid would have risen to £30m with add-ons. And although he stayed at Stamford Bridge beyond the summer window, his future remains uncertain.
