BART reported that one man was injured in a shooting on a Daly City-bound train near the Lake Merritt Station in Oakland on Friday afternoon, officials said.

The incident is causing major residual delays on the Berryessa line in the Daly City, Richmond, Berryessa and Dublin/Pleasanton directions, BART said.Alameda-Contra Costa Transit is providing alternate transportation via buses for people caught in the BART backup. AC Transit's Line 14 is offering service between West Oakland, Lake Merritt and Fruitvale stations. Lines 18 and 88 are available for service between Lake Merritt and Oakland City Center/12th Street stations.
