A standoff from the Trenton City Council president has been ongoing for weeks.
The latest disagreement among Trenton officials is headed to court.
It’s basically a rubber stamp, and comes after a brief, regular meeting of the Board of School Estimate, which McBride sits on and skipped this year, the lawsuit and Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora said. Nor is the money “additional,” they say, it’s levied through property taxes and the city’s responsibility to the public schools. And a good portion, Gusciora said, comes from state aid.
