The 33-year-old nurse became the UK's most prolific child killer last week after being convicted of murdering seven newborns and attempting to kill a further six. Her horrific and cruel crimes were committed over the course of a year while she was working on the neonatal unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
Baby A was only a day old when she injected him with air, killing him. She then helped to take his hand and footprints as a keepsake for his parents.Their mum's statement said: "2015 was going to be the best year of our lives. We were going to become parents to a little boy and a little girl."Never could we have imagined that the most precious things in our lives would have been placed in harm’s way and in the care of a nurse who is capable of such despicable actions.
"We weren’t there when collapsed and by the time I was brought through to him he was gone, despite all the efforts to revive him. You had been successful in your quest to cause maximum pain and suffering.
