Police have issued an urgent appeal
Police are concerned for a missing Lytham woman whose car has been recorded in 80 different locations in the last 24 hours.
Jane Rigby hasn't been seen since Friday when she set off to meet friends for a weekend away. The 70-year-old was travelling in her car, a red Toyota Yaris, registration BG65VPC, which has been recorded in more than 80 locations in 24 hours. Officers say that Jane suffers from ill health and could have become confused while driving. They believe she could be in North Yorkshire.Jane made a phone call on her mobile early yesterday morning from an unknown service station, but her phone has been off since 7am – possibly having run out of battery. The last location for her car was at 11.56am yesterday on the A64 at Scagglethorpe in North Yorkshire, heading in the direction of Scarborough.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We are asking for your help to find Jane Rigby, 70, who is missing from her home in Lytham and could be in North Yorkshire. "Jane set off to meet friends for a weekend away on Friday and her car – a red Toyota Yaris, registration BG65VPC – has been recorded in more than 80 locations in 24 hours.Anyone with information is asked to call 999 for immediate sightings or 101 with further information.
