Snow has been forecast across parts of the UK and temperatures could drop below zero in the north
The Met Office has given its verdict on whether snow will fall in Greater Manchester in the coming days as temperatures in the region are set to plummet to a chilly 3C.
Met Office spokesperson Tom Morgan told the Manchester Evening News: "It’s turned much colder in the northwest today and it will be a chilly evening and night with lows of 3C or 4C in more rural areas and 7C in Manchester city centre. He said temperatures are likely to peak at around 10 or 11C and some patchy grass frost is likely on Sunday and Monday morning, while rural areas could see lows of 0C. Looking towards next week, he added: "It looks like staying on the cool side early next week but generally dry with sunny periods at times."
