Yellow weather warning issued
Lancashire and Cumbria are set to be battered by rain tomorrow after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning.Forecasters say: "Rain, heavy at times, through Sunday is likely to cause some disruption, particularly to outdoor events." All areas of Lancashire are covered by the warning and some parts of Cumbria.In Cumbria, the south of the county including part of the Lake District such as Keswick and Ambleside are covered by the warning.
Holidaymakers heading for Italy and Spain are also being warned of rising temperatures. Some holiday resorts in parts of Italy, Spain and Greece have been issuing health warnings to guests this week, urging them to keep safe in the relentless afternoon sun. Sally Urwin, 49, and her two teenage sons decided to jet back from Rhodes in Greece three days early after suffering in temperatures above 40C, losing a huge chunk of a holiday that cost them £2,500.
