Man rescued after driving off La Jolla road, down coastal cliffs [Breaking]
Firefighters rescued a driver in La Jolla Saturday night after his vehicle went off of the road and down a nearby cliff, officials said.
Around 5:30 p.m., San Diego firefighters received calls of a vehicle that had gone off the road on Coast Boulevard near Cave Street, said San Diego Fire-Rescue Battalion Chief Jeff Mitchell.As of 8 p.m., Mitchell said firefighters had removed the driver from the vehicle and were working to get him back up the cliff so he could be taken to a hospital. No one else was in the vehicle.
