Man fatally shot in East Oakland.
OAKLAND — A man was shot to death Monday morning in East Oakland, authorities said.He was found shot at about 5:30 a.m. Monday in the 10400 block of Pippin Street. He was pronounced dead there.
The killing is the 64th homicide investigated by Oakland police this year and the second within 24 hours. A 53-year-old man was fatally shot at about 11 a.m. Sunday in the area of 13th Avenue and East 21st Street. The California Highway Patrol has also investigated four homicides on Oakland freeways.
