A woman reported at 9:11 a.m. Sept. 13 that her vehicle became disabled after the driver of a rental truck brake-checked her, and her vehicle struck it from behind. She said the truck had been tailgating her and bumped her vehicle, so she pulled to the side of the road. The truck did not stop so she sped up to obtain the license plate number before she was brake-checked.

The truck was subsequently located at Sheetz in Willoughby Hills. The driver denied any knowledge of the incident but the damage on the rear of the truck matched the damage on the car.A man said Sept. 12 that when he was driving from the high school, another vehicle came up quickly behind him and the driver swore and spit at him and showed his middle finger.
She said she did not have any contact with the Highland Heights man but was worried due to their past issues.A caller reported at 10:37 p.m. Sept. 12 that a vehicle was driving erratically and had just pulled off the roadway onto North Berkley Square.The driver, a 56-year-old Novelty woman, was found with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle and subsequently arrested for OVI.A woman reported around 8 a.m. Sept.
She said their daughters became friends while trying out for cheerleading and she and the mother also became acquaintances.
