Customer claims he picked up three $20 bills on the sidewalk and did not know they were counterfeit.
Joanne Berger DuMound, special to cleveland.comAn officer went to the Islander Grille Sept. 17 for a report of a man who gave the bartender two fake $20 bills. The bartender said the man picked up a to-go order, gave her two $20 bills and left. She then realized the bills were counterfeit. The bartender called him and asked him to bring real money up to the bar. He did. She gave the officer the name and phone number of the customer. Dispatch located the man.
