BREAKING: Man at centre of murder investigation in Mossley is named
A man found dead at his home in Mossley - sparking a murder investigation - has been named as Thomas Campbell.
The murder probe was launched after police were called to an address in Riverside at around 10.30am on Sunday morning . Emergency services tragically found the body of Mr Campbell at the scene. Detectives believe the 38-year-old, who was a dad, was killed in 'targeted attack'. His devastated family are now 'wanting answers'.In an update issued this morning , police said the investigation is continuing to progress. They are continuing to appeal for anyone with information - 'no matter how small - to come forward.
Detective Inspector Mark Davis, from GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: "This was a horrific attack on a man in his home and our thoughts are very much with the family who are understandably distressed and wanting answers. A team of detectives have been working around the clock to find those responsible in what we believe at this time to have been a targeted attack.
"A number of lines of enquiry are still being carried out but I would ask anyone with information to come forward – no matter how small it may seem.
