Letter to editor: Wouldn't it be refreshing if politicians simply told the truth?
Wouldn't it be refreshing if politicians simply told the truth? I am so tired of hearing politicians defend the Biden having these documents in his possession because now that he got caught he is fully cooperating.
Politicians must really think the American people are stupid. A great number of criminals when they are caught cooperate with law enforcement in order to receive a better deal. I don't care if he is cooperating. He committed a crime. It doesn't matter how little the crime is. It is like being a little pregnant.
He is the President of the United States. He should have known better. To make a claim that he didn't know he had these documents is absolutely absurd. Any classified government document is clearly stamped in RED letters with the word"CLASSIFIED" and has a security level code. Furthermore, the Presidential Records Act of 1978 is pretty clear about how Presidential records are handled when a president leaves office. On Jan. 20, at the end of the President's final term, the Presidential records of the administration are automatically transferred to the legal custody of the Archivist of the United States and the National Archives and Records Administration.
Politicians from all parties should just stop deceiving the American people. A person who steals your property from your home is a thief whether or not he cooperates with the police or not.
