Anxiety over periods has followed Clarendon throughout his career, but he was able to push through — and is actually better for it. “I was at the World Championship with the USA team and started my period the night before the gold medal game we played,” Clarendon said. “Having the superpower of doing something while on your period is a pretty powerful feeling.”
