Clearly, it’s a complex, multifaceted picture, with different issues particularly pertinent within different communities. The solutions are similarly complex, but Dr Olaitan believes it must begin with education on racial bias and cultural sensitivities for healthcare professionals, as well as awareness-raising campaigns that feature and reach out to ethnic minority women.
