It's hotting up and another heatwave is on the way 🥵🌞
Lancashire is set to be as hot as Turkey next week as temperatures across the county are set to soar up to 28C.
Temperatures are expected to rise by Wednesday where the heatwave will begin with temperatures of 25C - by the weekend, summer days are set to finally arrive with temperatures of 28C expected. The UK saw the hottest day ever recorded in July as some areas passed 40C for the first time. While the next week isn't expected to be quite the same, a heat wave is on its way due to an area of high pressure building from the Atlantic into the south.
“As the high pressure builds there is very little meaningful rain in the forecast, especially in those areas in the south of England, which experienced very dry conditions last month. Elsewhere in the UK, such as in northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, rain-bearing weather fronts will make limited headway against the high pressure, bringing some rain to north-western parts of the UK.”
