The Met Office said that 'above average' temperatures are expected in the coming weeks
Temperatures are set to rise to 25C in Greater Manchester by the middle of next week, according to the Met Office.
After the weekend finishes, it is set to get warmer and warmer throughout next week. Monday will see highs of 22C, before it increases to 24C on Tuesday and 25C on Wednesday and Thursday. Met Office's outlook from Saturday to Tuesday reads: "Largely dry and settled over the coming days. Cloudy in the north on Sunday but lengthy periods of sunshine for most into next week. Increasingly feeling very warm by day.
The long range weather forecast for the period between Wednesday and Friday August 19 continues: "Temperatures are expected to continue above average, becoming very warm or hot in the south and rather warm to warm in the north.
