Kenyan court finds three of four suspects guilty of orchestrating the 2015 attack on Kenya's Garissa University in which nearly 150 people died
Suspects Hassan Aden Hassan, Mohamed Ali Abdikar and Rashid Charles Mberesero leave the dock after they were convicted for helping those who carried out the attack on Garissa University in 2015, at the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi, Kenya June 19, 2019.
A fourth individual was acquitted, Judge Francis Andayi said, adding that sentencing will be handed down on July 3. Most of those who died were students, who were slain in their dormitories or rounded up and executed in a hall of residence. It was the second-bloodiest terror attack in Kenya's history, surpassed only by Al Qaeda's bombing of the US embassy in Nairobi in 1998, which killed 213 people. That attack was claimed by Al Qaeda.
