The Sweet Magnolias star is using her time on DWTS to help out amid the Hollywood production and writers strike.
The Big Picture Jamie Lynn Spears plays Noreen Fitzgibbons on Sweet Magnolias. The character started out as a nurse who had an affair with the married Bill Townsend . The Netflix show returned with season 3 in July. But fans will have to wait for more because of the writer's and actor's strike and actors are currently not allowed to work or promote their work at this time. However, rules are different when it comes to reality TV.
Knowing the current struggles, this paycheck means a bit more to her. "I have this unique opportunity where I was offered a chance to work when my community cannot work, so I figured I'll do this, and I will donate my weekly salary to SAG, WGA," she later explained. "Just give back to them at a time where they can't even give to themselves," she explained.
