The actress and sister of Britney Spears said she will donate her salary to SAG-WGA, which remain on strike.
Jamie Lynn Spears will be a contestant on season 32 of “Dancing With the Stars” that premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 26, on ABC.The singer, actress and sister of Britney Spears, said on “Good Morning America” today that she will donate her salary to members of SAG and WGA who are on strike.
In July, the Writers Guild of America and Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and went on strike for better pay and job security. Spears said she is participating because it will allow her to do it “for a reason that means a lot to me while everybody in my community is on strike at SAG. I have this unique opportunity to work when my community can’t work, just give back to them at a time when they can’t give to themselves.”The entire cast of “Dancing With the Stars” will be revealed on Wednesday, Sept. 13, on “Good Morning America.
