Now, Big Sean would like us to know the truth — that he’s actually, like, five-ten. At least he is now, after claiming he grew two inches taller. Yes, Big Sean, 33, has hit a little growth spurt.
How does a man in his 30s suddenly get two inches taller? Some large shoes? Very tall hair? Limb-extending surgery, a real thing that exists? According to Big Sean, it’s going to a chiropractor. “How da fuck I grow 2 inches,” the rapper asked in a recent Instagram story. “Chiropractor for a year straight twice a week, that’s how.
For scale, Big Sean shows himself standing next to a friend who he says is five-foot-ten. “You’re five-ten!” the friend affirms. So there you have it. Big Sean grew two inches, and now he is five-ten. Unfortunately, this means Big Sean no longer qualifies as a Short King by some measurements. The Short King cutoff is five-foot-eight, five-foot-nine if we’re feeling generous. At five-ten, Big Sean has outgrown the title — a moment of silence, please — and I would argue he has also outgrown his name. Perhaps Bigger Sean is more fitting.
