its blaring red signs coaxing in weary travellers for a slap-up plate of eggs and bacon. Little Chef, a brand that arrived in the UK at the end of the 1950s, is a restaurant chain that now seems something of a relic in the age of McDonald's and Burger King branches growing exponentially. Looking back at the restaurant's old menus alone is enough to provoke some nostalgia. What could be more retro than the fact that one of the"healthier"But for true nostalgia, it is of course the bricks-and-mortar themselves that many will fondly remember. Having grown from its early days in Reading to a national enterprise with hundreds of branches, Nottinghamshire was home to scores of Little Chef outlets.
