A report on the psychology of infidelity has found that married people “believe the cheating didn’t hurt their otherwise healthy marriages” Jasmine* tells KasiaLDelgado why she doesn’t regret cheating on her husband
for a relationship, a report on the psychology of infidelity published in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior has found that “married people who have affairs tend to find them highly satisfying, express little remorse, and believe the cheating didn’t hurt their otherwise healthy marriages”. Here, Jasmine*, 36, tellsto my husband for eight years.
But, a couple of years later, I started to feel as though my husband was getting complacent. He stopped taking care of his appearance, he started eating a lot of chips and takeaways, stopped going for runs, and generally spent a lot of time slumped on the sofa watching TV. He had always been quite good at suggesting that we do nice things together, but that stopped. He stopped making me meals or even a basic cup of tea, and if I initiated sex with him, he’d say he wasn’t feeling up to it.
“Months went by without us having sex or really talking properly, and I started to feel so distant from him, and so rejected by him.” marriage feels like it’s going down the pan
