Even the animals are getting in on the autumnal fun at Zoo Boo.
New this year is an interactive dance floor that lights up as kids groove and step to Halloween tunes, creating colorful partners underfoot. In addition to seeing animals romp with pumpkins, plentiful photo ops at Zoo Boo include large jack-o-lanterns carved in the likeness of animal residents. The zoo increased the after-hours opportunities this year, after the offering was well-received during last year's Zoo Boo.Staff expects to see lots of families in costume this weekend posing for fall photos.
Families, along with their pets, can participate in costume contests in three categories: Great Pumpkin , Squad Ghouls and Howl-o-ween .Complimentary hands-on experiences for kids include plant-based play doh making and seasonal magnet art.
