Honoring some of the women of the National Weather Service
Spring is here and so is Severe Weather Season. This Thursday's forecast calls for us to stay weathere aware.
In conjuction with the KRLD weather team, the men and women of our area National Weather Service offices will also be working to keep us safe and updated on any potentially dangerous weather systems. As we continue to recognize Women's History Month, we wanted to shine the spotlight on the ladies of the NWS Fort Worth.
Bianca Garcia is a meteorologist there and joined the KRLD Afternoon News to chat more about her experience in the male-dominated field. She shares with David Rancken and Kristin Diaz her passion behind weather science and the pride she has for making an impact as a Hispanic woman in a STEM career.
