A former bus driver who ditched his career to follow his dreams as a photographer talks to Glasgow Live about how and when he manages to capture the beauty of Glasgow in such a unique way.

Speaking to Glasgow Live, the dad-of-five said:"It is a massive passion of mine. I like to show people the city in a different light - Glasgow is my home." Andrew started to experiment with light photography using a drone, he explained:"It is one shot, I have to set the drone to do a specific task for me - the majority of it being in a circle. I then attach a light to my drone and take a long exposure shot. I usually don't know what it looks like until it comes out."
The photographer captured one incredible image in particular. In the dead of night Andrew pictured the Arria Statue in Cumbernauld as his drone circled the dark sky - the image alone is captivating, as well as the colours and background. It is truly a never seen before side of the wonderful statue. Andrew also captures still images of the streets of Glasgow city centre, the pictures are taken in the middle of the night - showing the stillness of the city and almost shares the calm before the storm.to receive news and features direct to your inbox.
